Washington DC- Iskali Capital Group (“ICG” or the “Company”) announced today that it recently agreed, through its Corporate Social Responsibility Program (ICG-CSR), with Fundación Construyendo y Creciendo to appoint ICG’s Managing Director, Gabriel Espana, as independent board member for CyC.

“In Iskali Capital Group we are honored to be part of this educational initiative through Fundación Construyendo y Creciendo. This effort is fully aligned with ICG’s mission, which is to promote highly developmental projects in Emerging Markets, through Developing Finance Services, in line with UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Education, as SDG 4, is the foundation to creating sustainable development”, Said Gabriel Espana, ICG’s Managing Director. “This agreement attests to the continued effort of leading private companies in the Mexican construction sector to train their employees and restates ICG’s commitment to SDGs in Emerging Markets.”

Fundación Construyendo y Creciendo is an NGO that breaks the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and displacement that affects construction workers in Mexico by bringing education, vocational training, and personal development opportunities to construction sites. Although the construction workers are considered the primary beneficiaries, all parties benefit from the programs: companies employ more productive workers and have a lower turnover rate and teachers enjoy steady, rewarding employment. CyC’s innovation reframes the value of education, revealing extensive, far-reaching benefits that compel workers and employers to prioritize learning in an unprecedented way.

Iskali Capital Group provides Developing Finance Services for investment and advisory services initiatives in developing economies, where access to affordable capital is significantly limited. ICG’s holistic approach is based on innovative tailor-made financing solutions focusing on both, strong risk-adjusted returns and positive social impact in line with ESG principles and UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
